CSD disc, cleaning disc, or coarse cleaning disc: which do I need for my application? Rust should NOT be removed with rotating wire brushes in a drill or angle grinder! With this method, the rust mixes/smears with the material removed by the wire brush and is worked into the healthy metal. This creates a silvery/black layer that appears rust-free, but is not. New rust is inevitable. This layer can then no longer be removed!
