Characteristics:
ROSTIO rust converter for neutralizing and stabilizing rust on steel. Penetrates deep into the rust and neutralizes the corrosion process. Converts iron oxides into an insoluble blue-black metal-organic compound. ROSTIO rust converter does NOT have to be washed with water, so it is also suitable for cavities.
Application:
The substrate must be clean, free of grease and dry. If possible, remove loose rust roughly mechanically beforehand. Apply ROSTIO rust converter evenly thinly with a brush or roller. Injectionable at 3-4 bar with a 1.3 – 1.5 mm nozzle. Application temperature 5 °C – 35°C. After 3 hours reaction time it can be overpainted and putty with all commercially available varnishes and putty compounds. Do not use on hot surfaces above 40°C or in freezing conditions. Wash immediately with water on painted surfaces. Store free of frost. Cleaning of appliances with water after use.
