The ROSTIO Profi zinc spray/zinc flake spray is not a conventional zinc spray. It is a room-temperature-curing, inorganic thin-film zinc flake coating with a preventive cathodic protection effect for metal surfaces and maximum corrosion protection. ROSTIO Profi Zinc Spray is ideal for subsequent repair, visual enhancement and touch-up, protection and priming of galvanized and non-galvanized steel surfaces. It also provides excellent rust protection and corrosion protection of metals previously derusted with ROSTIO.
ROSTIO Profi Zinc Spray meets the requirements for coastal and offshore applications (=DIN EN ISO 12944 C5-M L), is weldable and temperature resistant up to 300°C. Color: zinc-like
Technical data & tests:
- ROSTIO zinc spray is resistant to > 500 h salt spray test!
- The zinc flake coating protects from a layer thickness of 10-20 micrometers
- The protection period against renewed corrosion is at least 2-5 years in the offshore area
- ROSTIO Profi zinc spray is 100% more productive than standard zinc sprays
- Temperature resistance: approx. 300°C
- Active ingredient: high-purity zinc flakes (99.99% refined) in inorganic-organic matrix
- Yield: approx. 2-3 m2 /kg at 10 μm (according to VdL guideline 08)
- Optimum application temperature: between + 15°C and + 25°C
- Content: 400 ml
Application:
1. The substrate must be dry and free of grease and dust. Sand problematic substrates and old coatings.
2. Shake for at least 3 minutes before use.
3. Spray on sparingly in 1-2 sprays (corresponds to a layer thickness of approx. 5-20 µm), spraying distance 25-30 cm.
4. After use, spray off the spray valve upside down.
