For what purposes is the Rostio tank descaler concentrate suitable?
The Rostio Tank Descaler Concentrate was specially developed for removing rust from the inside of metal tanks. It is also suitable for other objects such as pipes, canisters, barrels, or drums. It can even be used to treat plastic and stainless steel tanks filled with rusty or iron-rich water.
For which tank size is the Rostio tank descaler concentrate sufficient?
One liter of concentrate is sufficient for derusting tanks with a volume of up to 10 liters. By adding a maximum of 9 liters of water, 1 liter of concentrate produces a total of 10 liters of finished tank deruster.
Application of Rostio Tank Descaler Concentrate
- The tank must be free of grease and oil (e.g. clean beforehand with nitro thinner or white spirit).
- Pour Rostio Tank Descaler Concentrate into the tank.
- Fill each liter of concentrate with a maximum of 9 liters of warm water.
- Shake tank well or stir contents.
The rust in the tank is now removed – depending on the degree of rust, after a few hours or overnight. Then empty the tank and rinse thoroughly with clean water. Immediately afterward, apply Rostio Tank Protection Emulsion to prevent further rust growth.
Does Rostio attack healthy metal, paints, or plastics?
No, Rostio generally doesn't attack paint, plastic, or sound metal. However, to be on the safe side, always test in an inconspicuous area. As a precaution, remove the fuel tap and other sensitive parts or, for example, close them with a cork.
Disposal of the Rostio tank descaler
Rostio Tank Descaler is environmentally friendly and biodegradable . It can therefore be disposed of normally. Unused concentrate should be diluted with 10 liters of water beforehand. If mixed with other hazardous substances, proper disposal is required.
