Rostio rust remover gel or Rostio rust converter?
A frequently asked question to us is when you should use Rostio Gel or Rostio Rust Converter and when Rostio Rust Converter Spray is recommended.
Rostio Rust Remover Gel
With Rostio Rust Remover Gel, rust is completely removed down to the pores. The result is bright, stainless steel after derusting – a result similar to sandblasting. Sound steel is not attacked, meaning no material is removed.
Rostio Gel has a consistency comparable to jam. It is applied thickly and usually needs to be left on for a few hours. The gel is then washed off with water. It does not attack paints, varnishes, plastic, rubber, etc.
Rostio Gel is perfect for removing rust from large objects—even overhead. It completely removes rust in one or more coats.
Ideal for steel, iron, chrome, and stainless steel on cars, bicycles, boats, motorcycles, tools, etc. Also suitable as a rust remover – reliably removes light to heavy rust!
Rostio rust converter
For hard-to-reach areas such as crevices and cavities where washing is difficult or impossible, we recommend Rostio Rust Converter. A thin layer is applied once and can be painted over with any commercially available paint or varnish after three hours.
It's as thin as water and easily penetrates even the smallest areas. It's also suitable for cavities, as it can be sprayed at 3–4 bar with a 1.3–1.5 mm nozzle. It's very economical, requiring only one application.
The rust converter neutralizes the corrosion process by converting iron oxides into an insoluble blue-black compound. No need to rinse off—ideal for easy application even in hard-to-reach areas.
