Rostio Gel is perfect for removing rust from bicycles. The rust does not usually have to be removed mechanically beforehand. Rostio Gel is simply applied to the rusted areas and then left to work for a while. Depending on the degree of rust, the Rostio Gel can then be removed with water and a hard brush after one to several hours. Rostio Gel is not a conventional rust converter.
The rust should then be completely removed; if the rust is severe, the application may need to be repeated. Once the rust has been completely and deeply removed, the metal should be appropriately protected against further rusting.
